Salvation Army thrift store advises customers drop off items during store hours

A reminder to residents donating to the Salvation Army to do so only during store hours.

The Salvation Army thrift store employees are reminding residents that all clothing and other miscellaneous item drop offs should be done only during store hours.

Major James Haggland with the Salvation Army said that leaving clothing on the sidewalk while the store is closed poses as a fire threat and they would prefer all items be dropped off while the store is open.

“Please do not drop off after hours,” he said. “It’s not something I want to promote.”
