Spooktacular a very successful Halloween fundraiser

Spook4.jpg

The Sparwood Public Library’s biennial Spooktacular was sold out. Crowds of costume goers gathered together to take part in wine tasting, decadent snacks, local art and vendor displays, raffles, a silent auction and best of all good company.

Spooktacular is Sparwood Public Library’s biggest fundraiser and this year, over $2500 was raised. The funds will be used towards the cost of replacing the worn carpet currently in the library.

During the evening, winners of the Library’s big prize raffle were drawn. Coleen Morindini walked away with a $1300 travel gift certificate from Mountain High Travel. Bob Webb won an oil painting and Lee Stearns was the lucky winner of a Zoom teeth whitening treatment from The Sparwood Dental Clinic.

Over twenty five businesses and individuals donated to the silent auction and eight talented local artists displayed their work.
