Children of all ages were thrilled to take part in the Sparwood Public Library's lego challenge. The challenge tested kids creativity as the task was to create a lego masterpiece, constructed from imagination only. Everything from simple scenes from a favourite book to complex reconstructions of an imaginary set was brought into the competition. The judging panel, made up of library staff and representatives, looked closely at each project, while taking the time to hear each child's story on how their project came to life.

"Children really love to play with lego and it is so popular with all age groups,” said Shauna Salmon, library assistant and lego challenge coordinator. “Lego is something that allows you to use your imagination and be creative and that is what we promote. We are thinking of doing another lego challenge in the spring, and want to let everyone know that if they are interested in the possibility of a lego club, to let the library know."
