Calling all foodies in the Elk Valley and beyond. The Rotary Club of Fernie has announced Feast for a Cause, on May 4, 2024 at the Fernie Community Centre.

Along with Chef Barrie Elliott from Fernie Catering Co, the Rotary Club wants this event to celebrate Fernie’s food scene and the community’s spirit of giving back.

This will be a unique long table dinner, with contributions from local chefs and food producers, using the freshest ingredients from the Elk Valley.

The dinner will be hosted by MC Sadie Rosgen, who will oversee chef’s interviews, awards and a silent auction.

“We’re thrilled to have Chef Barrie Elliott on board to make this night unforgettable,” said Anita Palmer, President of The Rotary Club of Fernie, in a press release. “The Rotary Club of Fernie has a history of bringing awesome projects to our city, like the Aquatic Centre Splash Park and Fernie Rotary Park, it’s time to raise funds to launch another one.”

All local restaurants and food producers are invited to join the evening.

Bramasole’, Chilango’s, Chopsticks, Iggy’s, The Loaf, Island Lake Lodge, Yamagoya, Curry bowl, Bridge Bistro and Pastryland are already on board.

The Rotary Club of Fernie thanks Teck Resources and Eldho’s Independent Grocer for their support, as well as many other local businesses.
