April Wine Announced as Big Act for Annual Fernival Event in Fernie B.C

Fernie Alpine Resort is once again bringing you Fernival, the Rockies Biggest Mountain Music Concert of the year, featuring April Wine.

April Wine are Canadian Music Icons with a career spanning over 40 successful years:

“It all began in Nova Scotia late in 1969. The Henman brothers, David and Ritchie, got together with their cousin Jim Henman and fellow musician Myles Goodwyn to form a band called April Wine, a name chosen simply because they were two words that sounded good together. Fifteen studio albums, three live releases, numerous compilations, a boxed set and thousands of concerts later April Wine has become enormously popular in Canada, the United States and throughout the world.

In March of 2009, April Wine was inducted into the Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame during Canadian Music Week in Toronto. They also received The Lifetime Achievement Award for being part of Canadian Music History for 40 years.”

Come see April Wine perform at Fernival in Fernie Alpine Resort on April 14th – Concert is completely FREE for all ages!  Event Gardens (19+) will be open all afternoon with a Griz Bar Aprés Party following in the evening.  Don’t Miss the NEW Slope Soaker event on Sunday April 15th, entry details will be posted online.
