A marriage of wood and clay

An exhibit of wood and clay opens today at The Arts Station.

An exhibit of wood and clay opens today at The Arts Station.

Come and envy at the dream kitchen on display, created by Kerri Holmes pottery and Bisaro woodworking.

The exhibition, called A Table! features a family table with benches set for a mid-morning meal. You will immediately enter into their vision of the “ideal kitchen” in a brunch setting. Their playful, try-it-and-see approach shines through in the studio. Their “ideal kitchen” is open, inviting and full of quirky, familiar personalities with a place for everyone. Kerri Holmes’s hand crafted pottery is rustic, yet clean. The warm, earthy tones used to accentuate her work give her pieces an even greater feeling of home. Alain’s wall cabinets and other kitchen classics (of Bisaro) will display the divine clay creations by Holmes and guest artist, Sarah Pike, in the exhibit and are built to last. His unique furnishings have a modern edge and hints to the craftsman style, which truly add to the sense of home.

The exhibition opens today at The Arts Station from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be on show until Tuesday, November 29.
