Avalanche closes Highway 3 between Elko and Fernie
An avalanche just outside the tunnel on the Fernie side on Friday morning forced the closure of Highway 3 between Elko and Fernie for several hours.
At this point the highway has re-opened in both directions and traffic is back to normal.
