Police Confirm A Second Attempted Child Abduction

Police have confirmed that Kienan Hebert has been abducted."Some one did enter the Hebert's home and removed Kienan," says Cpl. Dan Moskaluk. News also arose that there was a second attempted child abduction prior to the abduction of Kienan but the abductor was unsuccessful in luring the child out of his or her Sparwood home. Police are not releasing details about the second attempted child abduction, however they stress the message from Kienans father be spread as far, and through as many facets as possilbe in hopes that it will reach the abductor. "This is an oppourtunity for whoever has Kienan to drop him off and walk away," says Moskaluk. "He's only three, he will not be able to tell anyone who you are or where you have been," says Kienan's dad in an emotional public plea. "All we want is Kienan."

Currently, there are over sixty investigators working on the case, as there are two investigations are underway. Hundreds of volunteers continue to search for any clues and searches are extending into the rugged back country terrain. Randall Hopley a suspect in the case is yet to be located. His mother who lives in Fernie, B.C. urged her son to surrender to police. Residents of Sparwood continue to unite in the search for Kienan Hebert.
