Sparwood man arrested on child pornography charges
A Sparwood man has been charged with possession of child pornography.
On January 4, the Elk Valley RCMP finished an extensive investigation by executing a search warrant on a Sparwood residence.
The search resulted in the seizure of a large amount of computer equipment and electronic storage devices.
The Elk Valley RCMP said they have been working closely with investigators from the RCMP Child Exploitation Unit from Vancouver over the past couple of months leading up to this search.
As a result of the investigation and the subsequent search, a 21-year-old Sparwood resident was taken into custody and has been charged with possessing child pornography.
