A classic rock indie trio will be rocking The Northern in Fernie  next week.

Jesse and the Dandelions are from Lethbridge, and their sound harkens back to the glory days of grunge-pop, recalling Weezer, the Weakerthans, the Strokes and others.

Many may recognise frontman Jesse Northey, who grew up in Fernie.

Opening shows for the likes of Said The Whale, We Are The City, Hey Ocean! and a plethora of others all over Alberta and B.C, the band has polished their sound to a glistening shimmer, yet the group retains a youthful raw energy that connects with audiences wherever they go.

The band has a whole pile of stuff in the works right now, including the recording of a new EP called Time and Space and Everything In Between (due out this summer on Esper Records), a new music video produced by the good folks at the Calgary Underground Film Festival, a comic book retelling the history of the band, and gigs lining up well into the summer music festival season.

Jesse and the Dandelions will be performing at The Northern in Fernie on Wednesday, February 22.
