Easter At Overwaitea
With what may have been the biggest crowd of kids yet, the annual Easter egg hunt at Sparwood Overwaitea was a huge hit. This tradition has taken place for almost twenty years, and is known for its intensity and fun. Approximately 150 pounds of little chocolate eggs and other treats were scattered throughout Greenwood Mall. At 1 p.m. as the glass doors open the kids tppk off running, clearing the mall of all the candies in under five minutes. "We know that kids look forward to the Easter Egg Hunt every year," says Stan Schmidt, Overwaitea Foods Manager." We really enjoy putting this event on and would like to thank all the kids and parents for attending," he says.
During the afternoon event there was also face painting and a hot dog fundraiser for the Children's Hospital.
