Elementary and secondary students come together for Terry Fox Run

Students, parents, and teachers from Fernie Secondary School and Isabella Dicken Elementary School were up bright and early Friday morning for the 2012 Terry Fox Run.

The day got started with a pancake breakfast outside Traynor Hall at Fernie Secondary School. While the annual pancake breakfast is usually free of charge, this year the school asked that everyone bring a $2 donation to help cover food costs and raise money to go towards cancer research.

After everyone warmed up with pancakes, it was time to run. Students hit the track at 10 a.m., and followed a route that took them down to the river and back.
