Polls are open for the semi finals of Powder Magazine’s Ski Town Throwdown online competition.
Fernie has blown away competition so far to make in into the top four ski towns in north America.
Fernie beat Jackson/Teton Valley, Wyoming, last week to move on to the semi finals against Bozeman, Montana.
In a close race, Fernie just beat the American town, home to the huge Jackson Hole resort, by 1,556 votes to 1,349.
The battle against Bozeman, home of Big Sky resort, will run today and tomorrow, and Bozeman has got off to an early lead.
Fernie has had a huge support during the competition, and blew away two Vermont towns in the last round before Jackson/Teton Valley.
Only two BC ski towns remain in the competition — Fernie and Rossland/Nelson. Whistler lost in the first round, and Revelstoke was edged out by just 40 votes in its Round 2 face-off against Salt Lake.
