Fernie packs a powder punch this season even bigger than last
Snow lovers, do you think last season in Fernie was unbeatable?
Well, the fact is, this winter season Fernie Alpine Resort has received even more snow than last year’s record season, and even earlier!
Over seven metres of snow has fallen so far, leaving last winter’s record in the dust – and last season ended with a total of over 11 metres! The recent snowstorm has slammed Fernie with 50 cm in 48 hours this week and a total of 90 cm in 7 days.
“The amazing fact is how frequent snowstorms hit Fernie”, says Matt Mosteller, VP of Sales & Marketing at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, “Fernie gets more snow and more frequent storms that any ski resort in the Canadian Rockies”, he continued.
