Sparwood celebrates Coal Miner Days

It has been a jam packed weekend of fun in Sparwood as the community celebrates Coal Miner Days.

With activities for all ages starting Thursday evening and going into tomorrow afternoon, there has been something for everyone. Kids Fest, held this afternoon, saw families pack the fields behind the Leisure Centre for games, a street market, and barbecue. A highlight of the day was the first ever tug of war competition.

Coal Miner Days will finish off tomorrow with more events, including a fun run.
