Winter road conditions cause accidents

The wet snow and rainy weather have affected road conditions over the weekend causing numerous vehicle accidents in the Elk Valley.

At 4 pm Sunday, December 1, the RCMP was on the scene on Hwy 3 approximately five kilometers south of Fernie known as Vanghal’s straight stretch.

“We have had several motor vehicle incidents due to the snow and road conditions,” said Elk Valley RCMP Sgt. Will Thien.
