A gas leak was reported on Second Avenue in Fernie this afternoon between 11th and 12th Street.

While the street remains open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic, firefighters and Fortis BC arrived on scene quickly to cordon off the area. The gas leak is controlled and crews are currently working to isolate the leak.
