Severe thunderstorm warning

As severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for East Kootenay, according to Environment Canada.

Large hail and heavy rain are in the forecast.

Residents are being advised to take cover immediately and stay indoors if threatening weather approaches, as large hail can cause injury and severe damage to property.

Locals can email any reports of severe weather to Environment Canada at pacifstorm@ec.gc.ca or tweet them with the hashtag #BCStorm.
