A movie filmed at Island Lake Lodge was shown at the Vogue recently, to raise money for Fernie Search and Rescue (SAR).

On October 27, Island Lake Lodge and the Fernie Fix organized a showing of the Rocky Mountain Sherpas’ latest offering: ALL.I.CAN.

The viewing was part of the movie's World Premiere Tour and was held at the Vogue Theatre and introduced by one of the Sherpas, Eric Crosland. Much of the movie was filmed on Island Lake terrain.

180 people enjoyed the movie and the after-party held at the Central with music by Shred Kelly. Free copies of the Island Lake movie The Balance of Powder along with a draw for a day of cat-skiing at ILL made the evening even more special.

All proceeds were donated to Fernie Search and Rescue, with over $1,200 being raised.

Fernie SAR Manager, Simon Piney, who attended the event, said "A donation of this size makes a very meaningful difference to a voluntary organization such as our’s."
