HENRIET, Evelyn May:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn May Henriet at the Rocky Mountain Village, Oct 23, 2011, with family at her bedside.

Evelyn was born March 31, 1931 in Natal, BC and remained in the Sparwood area her entire life.

Evelyn is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandra; daughter and son-in-law Lois and David Deluca; grandchildren- Treena (Duane) Allen, Shawn Deluca, Tyler Henriet and Alissa Henriet; great-grandchildren- Kennedy and Madison Allen; sister- Gladys Musil; sister-in-law- Helen Wasnock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her parents Olga & John Hudock, husband- Leon; brother Bobby; sister- Margaret Chatterson; brothers-in-law- Phil Musil, Stan Chatterson and Alex Wasnock.

Evelyn was known to be a kind-hearted, outgoing person with a positive attitude, who befriended everyone she met.

She loved the outdoors; was an avid fisherwoman & spent most of her retired life at the family cabin at Grave Lake & Kootenay Lake.

Evelyn possessed many talents- the greatest being her artist ability, painting pictures for family & friends while holding painting classes in her home. Her greatest pass time was knitting & playing cards which became a true passion to her.

Evelyn will be truly missed by family and everyone who knew her.

A memorial service was held at the Sparwood Fellowship Baptist Church on Thursday Oct 27, 2011 with Pastor Ron Rutley officiating.
