IAN SAUNDERS, Beloved Son, Husband & Father
With hearts that are broken and lives forever changed, we announce the untimely death of Ian Saunders. Ian died in the early morning hours on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at the age of 48. He was born in South Shields, England on December 6, 1967, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1974.
Ian’s memory will live on through the loved ones he leaves behind; his wife Darla and their children: Holly, Connor and Parker Saunders, his parents Dennis and Bridie Saunders, and his favorite four-legged companion, his dog Bailey, as well as many extended family members, in-laws and friends. He was predeceased by his only sibling, his brother Lee Saunders, in 1998.
A young and handsome Ian stole the heart of Darla Goode, and the couple married in 1993, completing their beautiful little family with the arrival of their 3 children: Holly, Connor and Parker.
Ian enjoyed life’s simple pleasures and appreciated the natural, majestic beauty of the Rocky Mountains. His favorite times were spent with family, friends and his dog Bailey in Mother Nature’s playground; whether it was hunting and fishing, skiing, or enjoying a challenging round of golf, Ian did it with enthusiasm!
A kind-hearted man, Ian loved to make people laugh and could often be quite the jokester. His warm, friendly smile will be dearly missed by all those who loved him.
