BUSATO:

With loved ones by her side, Margaret Mae Busato passed away on August 13, 2016. Margaret was born on November 2, 1928 to Arthur and Peggy Howe in Radway, AB and moved with her family to Michel in the Fall of 1942.

Margaret worked at St. Eugene’s Hospital in Cranbrook and then later at the Michel Hospital. She was a very talented cook and baker, a skill she used throughout her whole life.

Margaret married the love of her life, Gino Busato, on October 18, 1947. They lived in Michel where they were blessed with six children, and after moving to the farm in Brule Creek in 1961, their 7th child was born.

Margaret was a mother to all; she would enjoy all children who were around her. Her job was to raise her seven kids, something she did very well. She was proud of each one of them.

Margaret was a hardworking and loving woman who always had a smile and kind word for everyone she met. Any person who visited Margaret never went away hungry or thirsty. The coffee was always ready. A great cook and baker, she must have made a million cookies!

Margaret was busy with CWL, calorie counters and volunteered as Mrs. Santa Claus for many years. She loved nature, animals, and her morning walks to town to get a paper or a few groceries. Reading was also a great hobby and in later years kept her mind sharp with word find puzzle books. Even in her last week she had a good sense of humour and kind words. She never complained.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Margaret Howe, and by her brothers Carsc, Art and David.

Margaret will be missed every day by her children: Ila (Sandy) Douglas, Mark (Rita) Busato, Marie (Ed) McKimmie, Vicki (Kim) Spence, Hope (John) Medcalf, Angelo (Lori) Busato, and Guy (Sherry) Busato, her 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her sister Cathy Howe and brother Butch Howe.
