Margaret Ruth Joseph was born on September 26, 1922 in Kenora, Ontario. She moved to Creston where she lived for 26 years and enjoyed her love of gardening. Margaret then moved to Lilac Terrace in Sparwood and enjoyed her life with very good friends. Margaret was a loving and dedicated mother and friend. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones at the Elk Valley Hospital on December 27, 2011 at the age of 89 years.
Margaret is survived by her children; her son Ray (Jean) Griffiths, daughters Millie (Ed) Plessis, Joan (Gabor) Borbely, Wilma Wiens (Joe) and Jean (Dale) Jones, step children Peter (Kim) Joseph, John, Bill, James and Anna Marie, 20 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husbands Albert John (Bill) Griffiths and John Joseph , brothers Clayton, Ted and Joe and sisters Lizzy and Mabel.
Services were held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on December 31, 2011 with Father Bart van Roijen, Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lilac Terrace. Arrangements entrusted to Cherished Memories Funeral Services Ltd.
