It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and grandfather, Matthias John Hack on
November 4, 2016.
“Papa” was born on the family homestead in Saskatchewan on August 24, 1926, but loved his life in the Elk Valley. Golfing, hunting, and cooking for family were his favorite pastimes. Papa will be dearly remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor.
Papa is survived by his daughter Joanne Braconnier, his grandchildren Brian (Tania) Braconnier, and Tawny Braconnier, 4 great grandchildren: McKenzie, Jaiden, Destiny and Alliyah, and his sister Mary. He was predeceased by his wife, Betty, his parents Fred and Catherine Hack and three brothers, Helmut, Harold and Elmer Hack.
