On Monday, December 19, 2016, Vince “Vinny” Theriault passed away following a diagnosis of cancer just days prior.
Vince was born in Montreal, QC on September 4, 1961 and moved to Okotoks with his father as a young boy. At the age of 17, Vince moved to Fernie where he began working for Heiko and Linda Socher at the Snow Valley Ski Resort as a liftee. Thirty-eight years later he left the company as a Certified Red Seal Journeyman Millwright.
Together Vince and Stephanie enjoyed hunting, fishing & camping throughout the back country they both loved. He was also a certified pyrotechnician supervisor who, in the past, has done several fireworks shows for the ski hill and his neighbors.
Though he was a talented, confident man, Vince did his best to “keep under the radar” and was very humble. Vince had some very close relationships and acquaintances. He will be missed by many including Stephanie’s family who loved him dearly.
Vince is survived by his wife, Stephanie Rogers, and his brother Laurent (Larry) Theriault.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
