Wayne Allan Hornquist
January 6, 1958 - October 17, 2017
It is with great sadness the family of Wayne announces his sudden passing.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and good friend to many. He was a person who was always willing to lend a hand with a ready smile.
He was born, raised and lived his entire life in Fernie B.C. He was a Jack-of-all-trades and became a master of many.
He was passionate about many things especially his woodworking, genealogy, hiking and gardening and enjoyed most of all watching his girls pursuing there dreams and passions.
He had a 25-year career as the Chief Facility Operator for The City of Fernie. He loved what he did and was known as "The Wizard" by his coworkers.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Patricia, daughters Stephanie (Jason) Bryant, Samantha Hornquist (Sebastian Thompson), parents Verne & Bernice Hornquist, brother Darren (Shelley) Hornquist, sister Charlene Hornquist (Duane Jansen), and many nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wayne Hornquist Bursary Fund at the CIBC Bank in Fernie.
The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life.
