Golden Bear Track and Field meet results

The Crowsnest Pass Track and Field Club
The University of Alberta track and field team held it’s annual indoor competition at the Universiade Pavilion in Edmonton on January 22 and 23.
Passtrak, (the Crowsnest Pass Track and Field Club) was represented by four athletes all of whom achieved at least one life time best performance for their efforts.
Zion Ratudradra competed in the Peewee Boys age group. On the first day of the meet he placed third in the 60m sprint in 10.01 seconds, 10th in the long jump with a 3.02m leap and improved his shotput distance by over 1.5m out to 6.28m for fifth place.
Those results put him fifth overall on day one out of 21 athletes.
On the second day he heaved the medicine ball 3.96m for eighth place, then had the best high jump of his life by clearing 1.15m for first place.
He finished the day by cutting eight seconds off his previous time in the 600m race and finished in second spot in 2:00.98. On day two he placed third overall out of 17 athletes.
Alisi Ratudradra took part in the Bantam Girls division. Her first event was the 60m where she placed fourth in 8.99 seconds. Next came the high jump where she placed fifth with a personal best jump of 1.25m. In her third event of the day, the shotput, she broke the existing Passtrak club record by 1.8m with a 6.89m throw.
Her overall placing was third out of 30 athletes for day one. On Sunday, Alisi’s first event was the 60m hurdles where she ran 11.38 seconds for fourth place. The next event was long jump where she placed ninth with a 3.59m jump. The final event of the day was the 800m where she finished in 2:47.33 for third place.
Overall for day two she placed third out of 21 athletes.
Dustin White had six events in the Bantam Boys category. On Saturday he ran the 60m sprint in 9.37 seconds for ninth. His second event was high jump where he had a lifetime best jump of 1.25m for second place.
He then finished the day with a 4.34m shotput that put him in 25th. Overall on day one he placed seventh out of 26 competitors. On Sunday he started with the 60m hurdles and placed third in 12.32 seconds. Next came the long jump where he had a personal best of 3.60m for seventh place. The final event on Sunday was the 800m where he came sixth in 2:48.78. His overall finish for Sunday was fourth out of 15 athletes.
Cameo Hanlon was also entered in the bantam girls division. She started Saturday with the fastest 60m race of her life, finishing ninth in 9.28 seconds. Next was the high jump where she tied her best ever of 1.25m for sixth. The last event on Saturday was the shotput where she set a new Passtrak club record and improved her best to 6.38m for tenth place. Overall on Saturday, Cameo placed seventh out of 30 athletes in her age group. Sunday’s first event was the 60m hurdles and she placed fifth in 11.97 seconds. Next she jumped 3.72m in the long jump for sixth then finished the day with a personal best of 3:02.33 in the 800m for ninth. Her overall result on Sunday was fifth out of 21 athletes.
