The Elk Valley Wild Pee Wee hockey team made history at the Tier 3 Provincials being the first team from the Elk Valley to take home the gold at the Provincial Tournament.

The Wild faced off against the Victoria Ice Hawks on March 25 in Campbell River to see who would take home the title.

The Wild won the game 5-1 taking home the gold medal.

The team worked hard together to bring home the victory.

The first goal was scored in the first period Jacen Richards with an assist by Daylan Marchi.

The first goal in the second period was scored by Daylan Marchi with assist by Trevor Broad.

The third goal of the game was scored by Evan Pumphrey with an assist by Trevor Broad.

The fourth goal, scored in the second period, was scored by Cale Hughes with an assist from Evan Traverse.

The last goal of the game, bringing the final score to 5-1, was scored by Ty Abbott with an assist from Jacen Richards.

The manager of the Wild said, "We played and won for the name on the front of our jerseys and not the number on the back."
