FAST skier takes gold in France
A Fernie Alpine ski team member has taken a gold medal in France.
Tyler Werry, of the BC Ski Team and Fernie Alpine Ski Team, was the only Canadian in the International Ski Federation giant slalom event last week, in Ancelle.
Wearing bib #1, Werry, 21, from Calgary, smoked the first run, then waited for 140 racers to cross the finish before knowing for certain
that the race was his to lose.
The pressure was on, but Werry's second run would be enough to hold onto top spot and take home the gold on Tuesday last
week.
