Snow drags got motors revving

Snowmobile engines were revving high at the snow drag races in the field near Fernie Stanford Resort this afternoon.

Racers competed in a double elimination round for a cash prize. Crowds filled the bleachers and side lines of the groomed double track. The Grade six class from Isabella Dickens Elementary School sold chili, burgers and hot chocolate to raise funds for a trip to Blue Lake Camp.

The Fernie Snowmobile Association hosted the event with Monty Sosnowski at the race director helm.
