February is triumphant for FAST

It was a busy February for the Fernie Alpine Ski Team (FAST), with athletes travelling to both Prince George and Hemlock to compete.

Six U14 FAST skiers attended the B.C. Games in Hemlock from February 21 to 23. Congratulations to the following athletes:

Devin Mittertreiner - first place slalom

Owen Pollock - eighth place slalom

Max Daigle - thirty-first place slalom

Rylee Forsyth - second place slalom

Charlize Street - fifth place slalom and ninth place GS

Catherine Carruthers - sixth place GS

The U16 ski team spent a week racing all disciplines at the B.C. Provincial Ski Championships in Prince George February 16 to 22.

The following athletes placed in the top ten:

Nicole Foster- sixth place SG, third place SG, fourth place GS, sixth place GS, eighth place SL.

Micah Morris - seventh place SG

Britta Carry - tenth place GS

Ryan Finley - ninth place GS, ninth place SL
