In early December, the Fernie Hustlers Hockey Team won the annual Whitefish Women’s Winter Face Off.

The local team went undefeated in the round-robin tournament and won the Winter Face Off for the fourth time in Hustler history.

The Hustlers defeated the Whitefish Wailers 5-3, they beat the Whitefish Great Northern Bar 7-3 and then overcame the Kimberley Esso B’s 8-4.

In their final game against Great Northern Bar, the Hustlers were down 4-1 at the end of the second period and came back with four unanswered goals to win 5-4.

“A great team effort by all and lots of fun,” said team spokesperson Deborah Harris.
