Kootenay female hockey team going to BC Winter Games

Kelli Klein from Elkford is part of the Kootenay female U16 hockey team that will be attending the B.C. Winter Games this February.

The team was selected at a zone camp held in Nakusp, B.C. on January 3 and 4. This camp was attended by female hockey players from the East and West Kootenays.

The team will be travelling to Mission, B.C. on February 20 to 23 to participate in the Games.

Klein plays center on the Elk Valley Wild Girls team and has been playing hockey for seven years.

Klein is excited to be going; she is proud to be playing with the Kootenay Zone team and it will be her first plane ride too.
