It took an extra five and then some, but the Vancouver Canucks pulled out their second win of the season against Cory Schneider and the New Jersey Devils on Thursday. Ryan Kesler opened the scoring for Vancouver and Daniel Sedin added the 2-2 goal in the second period. Mike Santorelli scored in the shootout for Vancouver and Roberto Luongo stopped all three Devils shots to preserve the win.
The Canucks finished with just 21 shots through 65 minutes. The Devils responded with 30, with 17 of them coming in the third period alone.
