Working as a reporter for The Free Press for the last year, Nicole Liebermann is taking on a different position with the paper, as the new advertising sales representative.

A relatively newer resident to the Elk Valley, Liebermann has called the area home for almost two years. She’s excited to continue working with the dynamic team at The Free Press in a new capacity.

“I couldn’t be happier to have the chance to grow and progress into a new role with The Free Press,” commented Liebermann. “I have loved getting to know people in Fernie, Sparwood, and Elkford by covering everything from bake sales and concerts to council meetings and hockey games. I feel lucky to be able to contribute the community’s trusted newspaper as a reporter, and now as the advertising representative.”

She went on to say, “Having already formed some great contacts with business owners, residents, and elected officials in the Elk Valley and South Country, I’m looking forward to getting out in the community to continue building those relationships and make new ones.”

Liebermann is taking over the position from Andrea Horton, who was recently named the new publisher of The Free Press.
