Maia and her dad, volunteer firefighter Steve Benoy have fun at the Annual Fire Hall open house held at the Sparwood Fire Hall during Fire Prevention Week. This was a great opportunity for the community of Sparwood to get to know the local firefighters and learn about fire safety. Currently thirty-four firefighters serve Sparwood. These men and women dedicate many hours of time and go through rigorous training to become a volunteer firefighter.
