CIBC Bank Fernie Branch Manager Tanya Utenda presented Mary Giuliano from the Miners Walk steering committee, with $1,000, last week. The project still needs $25,000, and building of the monument is scheduled to start this summer. The sculpture is going to be designed by internationally known artist Jeff de Boer.
