Rocky Mountain Elementary School in Elkford celebrated British Columbia’s aboriginal heritage and culture on Monday.
The activities were part of B.C. Arts and Culture week.
The kids listened to stories told by Joe Pierre, a very recognized member of the Ktunaxa community. His mother was a chief and he travels round schools in the area teaching about aboriginal culture.
The kids also looked at art by Colleen Trozzo.
There are more than 60 aboriginal students at Rocky Mountain Elementary School.
