In keeping with Emergency Preparedness Week, the City of Fernie is hosting an Emergency Preparedness Fair at the Community Centre today. Interactive displays, a simulated smoke maze, and take home information is available, and firefighters, RCMP, and paramedics, as well as other emergency personnel and vehicles are on hand.
Sparky the Fire Dog is giving out hugs and high-fives, and free hot dogs are up for grabs while they last. The fair got started at noon and will run until 9 pm tonight.
