Griz Kids Winter Carnival offers free games, activities for families; more events this weekend

The Daylodge at Fernie Alpine Resort (FAR) was a hive of activity Saturday as parents and children enjoyed a day of family fun.

FAR’s annual Griz Kids Winter Carnival featured free games and activities, as well as a special performance by Circus Kasai for the first time.

This weekend marks the end of the winter season at FAR and Fernival.

The two-day music event kicks off with the Raging Elk Powder Pedal Paddle relay race on Saturday followed by live music from BCDC and The Runs in the plaza.

Sunday’s Slope Soaker event has been cancelled, however, Five Alarm Funk are still set to take the stage.
