Lunch is on at the Fernie Seniors’ Centre

Lunch at the Fernie Senior’s Drop-In Centre is back, making a return after a one and a half year hiatus.

“It’s so great seeing all the friendly faces again,” said Courtney Baker of the Senior’s Centre at the first lunch of the year.

“Everyone seems really excited to be back and socialize with their friends over a meal.”

Lunch at the Seniors Centre was stopped by the pandemic, and after public health orders lapsed the centre had the same difficulties as other businesses in town with a staff shortage, leading to a long break from the popular lunches.

Lunch at the Fernie Senior’s Drop-In Centre is from 10-2 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
