The Elk Valley RCMP are asking residents to be on the look out for 11 stolen livestock panels.

The panels were stolen from a farm in Hosmer some time in the night of April 30.

Each panel is 12-ft long and 5.5-ft tall, and they weigh 100-lbs.

“Removing the panels would be no small feat,” said Const. Sheena Fulton of the Elk Valley RCMP.

It is thought that more than one person would have been needed to lift and transport the panels, and it is suspected that a truck and trailer was used to move them.

“They are fairly specific, and are only used for controlling livestock,” said Fulton.

The livestock panels are metal gates used on farms to control livestock like cattle and horses.

The RCMP are asking anyone who may have seen the gates or who may have information about the gates to call the Elk Valley RCMP at 250-425-6233.
