Wildsight Elk Valley is hosting a Seed Saving workshop in Fernie on Thursday, August 17 at the Fernie Community EcoGarden at 1301 13th St. Fernie. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
this workshop will discuss how to plan a seed harvest, pollination facts, seed collection and storage and hands-on activities.

Also coming up on August 25 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the EcoGarden is the Picnic in the Park, celebrating 20 years of the Eco Garden.
Join Wildsight for an evening of celebration as they mark this occasion on a picnic gathering. This event promises to be a blend of delicious food, local produce and the cherished memories created over the years.
One of the highlights of our EcoGarden 20th-anniversary picnic will be the potluck picnic. Wildsight encourages everyone to bring a dish to share with the community.
In keeping with the EcoGarden’s principles, everyone is encouraged to bring their own reusable plates, cups, cutlery, and picnic blankets.
You are also invited to explore the EcoGarden’s nooks and corners. Wander through the rental beds, breathe in the fresh air, and admire the vibrant flora that thrives here. Garden guides will be present to answer questions and share fascinating insights into the different plant species that call the EcoGarden home.
