The visual arts guild will be unveiling their annual group art show at The Arts Station on May 26.

“Kindred Spirits, the title of the show, embodies how we create our art individually in a mutually supportive way,” said Donna Miller, past president of The Arts Station.  “Our art and friendships keep us together as a group.”

The visual arts guild members are Alice Byrne, Anne Majic, Beulah Limber, Diane Stothers, Donna Miller, Florence Baturin, Irene Atkinson, Janice Edwards, Jeanne Parker, Mary Menduk, Marla deBoon, Pat Moore, Pamm Ciupa and Kathy Stead.

Their work includes a wide variety of watercolour, acrylic and oil painting, plus encaustic work.

The Visual Arts Guild is the longest running of all of the guilds at The Arts Station having been started in the 1950’s. Times have not changed that much though as the same love of creating and companionship still runs deep in the guild members of today.

The show opens at The Arts Station with a reception May 26 from 7 to 9 p.m. The show continues daily from May 27 through June 22.
