Chasing Ice is the latest award winning flick to be presented by Indie Films Fernie. The recipient of best cinematography at the Sundance Film Festival and winner of the 2012 Hot Docs People’s Choice Awards will play at the Vogue Theatre on Monday night.

The enlightening documentary follows a National Geographic photojournalist as he brings dramatic visual evidence of climate change in the Arctic to the attention of the world. Chasing Ice is the shocking, sobering, yet ultimately optimistic story of James Balog’s incredible journey. The film features stunning cinematography and privileged views of some never before seen areas of the Arctic, and serves as an urgent reminder that the earth is in crisis.
