Fernie Alpine Resort has donated $500 to the Fernie Pride Society Festival through its Community Summit Fund
The Society has supported the local 2SLGBTQ+ community and its allies since its inception in Dec. 2016, hosting special events and providing referrals to key resources on topics like youth support, mental health and employer inclusion. The annual Festival runs every year in September in celebration of gender diversity and inclusivity. It features events like a bike parade, live music, art workshops and drag storytime.
The Community Summit Fund has donated over $250,000 to community organizations and charities in the last decade and $500,000 since it opened in 2007.
