Fernie Chamber of Commerce is looking for a management partner to help run the 48th annual Griz Days Festival, scheduled for Feb. 28 to March 2, 2025.
The Festival has been a community highlight since its inception in 1977, attracting thousands of visitors each year, with time-honoured traditions like the logging show, the bed and smoosh ski races, Extreme Griz competition, parades, fireworks and live music.
In 2023, it was named Best Mountain Festival in Avenue Magazine's Best of the Mountain Ballot.
With the festival increasing in popularity, the chamber is searching for an experienced and qualified event management company to help run the festival.
The selected company will collaborate closely with the chamber, helping oversee planning, manage the event schedule, develop marketing strategies, secure sponsorships, manage the budget, coordinate with local businesses and groups, and introduce new attractions, all the while maintaining the festival's quality and traditions.
Interested parties must submit a proposal to the chamber by Aug. 23. Shortlisted vendors will be invited for virtual interviews between Aug. 28-30, with final selection made by Sept. 4
