Fernie Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2827 is postponing its fire hall open house scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23.
The group wrote a letter to the editor informing the public of an open house on the Fernie fire hall project at 1492B Railway Ave. from 2 to 4 p.m., which was published in the Nov. 14 edition of The Free Press. It issued a follow-up message on Nov. 20 to inform the public the meeting will be rescheduled.
While a date has not been finalized yet, the group said it will issue an update sometime in the new year.
