The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) has announced a 10-year partnership with Calgary-based ticketing and box office platform Showpass, starting this upcoming 2024/25 season.

“The KIJHL is excited to be working with Showpass in order to offer our fans a professional, standardized ticketing experience across the league,” said Jeff Dubois, commissioner, KIJHL. “A number of KIJHL teams were already working with Showpass with impressive results, so it's a great step forward for the KIJHL to adopt their platform for all 21 of our member clubs.”

The league said it has engaged with the platform to offer a consistent way for its fans to purchase their tickets in an easy way.

"We're thrilled to team up with the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League and bring our ticketing technology to their amazing community," said Christine Pocza, director of customer success at Showpass.

"With our platform, we want to elevate the fan experience, make ticketing easier for everyone, and help junior hockey thrive in the region. The KIJHL’s commitment to developing young talent and uniting communities is a perfect match for what we believe in at Showpass. We're super excited to support these teams and their fans in fresh, innovative ways."

The KIJHL added that this partnership will give them tools to help enhance the fan experience, due to the company's "passion for technology with a love for live events."

The 44-game 2024/25 season begins on Friday, Sept. 20.
