Elk Valley RCMP are investigating a theft that occurred at an Amazon storage facility in Sparwood on Jan. 6 or 7.
30 packages were stolen from an Amazon storage locker, located in the 5000 block along Highway 43. Police have determined the incident occurred between 6 p.m. on Jan. 6 and 11 a.m. the following day.
Sgt. Svend Nielsen said police do not yet know what was taken or to whom the orders belong.
Packages that were moved but not taken, and a few items left behind by the culprit(s), were seized by police for forensic investigation.
Nielsen said CCTV coverage in the area is limited, but RCMP are investigating whether or not the renters of the storage property set up their own security and trail cameras.
